In contrast to yesterday's pic, here is the morning's sky... Canon G1X, f 14, 1/80, ISO 320

April 3: Evening Sky
Nice night... it's a beautiful thing when I can actually get out of work CLOSE to on time (only 20 minutes late... that's not bad). Canon 6D, f 4.0, 1/125 ISO 200
April 1: Who Lives Here?
In contrast to yesterday's photo, I don't think anyone lives here. I would really like a bat or two to move in though... Great location, close to schools and shopping, plenty of mosquitos to eat... Canon 6D, f 4.0, 1/200, ISO 500
March 31: Who Lives Here?
Someone, or, something, moved in to my yard. My dogs are not happy. I haven't seen the critter yet... This comes to mind: http://youtu.be/3lYm0c7gYyU Canon 6D, f 4.0, 1/50, ISO 2500
March 30: Splash-Down
I missed my nephew's attempt at pond skiing, but I caught some other people's runs. Needless to say, this guy got wet. Canon 6D, f 5.6, 1/2000, ISO 200

March 25: A Family Destination
Well, yes, New Orleans is the perfect destination for a family oriented vacation. Canon 6D, f 6.3, 1/125, ISO 2000

March 24: Alien Pan-handling
Pan-handling is a major past-time in New Orleans and I saw everything from people using some talent as street performers to get money, to people just sitting around with semi-witty cardboard signs. Canon 6D, f 5.0, 1/60, ISO 16000
March 23: Glass Harp
Glass Harp played by a New Orleans local to the amazement and delight of some tourists (at least that's what suspect is going on, they could all be actors for all I know). Canon 6D, f 5.6, 1/40, ISO 25600
March 22: New Orleans Parade
Apparently in New Orleans, you can have the police block the road and you can have a mini-parade for your wedding. I would be annoyed by that... Canon 6D, f 5.6, 1/400, ISO 1000

March 19: Butterfly
The Museum of Science has a pretty cool butterfly exhibit. I took MANY photos, but like so many recent photo excursions, I haven't had the time to sift through them yet. Soon. Canon 6D, f 6.3, 1/200, ISO 3200

March 15: Really?
Okay, maybe it's still a bit too early for trail running, but Luna and I were feeling optimistic. Canon G1X, f 5.6, 1/60, ISO 200
March 13: Sub-Station
Is this an entrance to a top-secret underground government facility? Maybe... Canon G1X, f 5.6, 1/60, ISO 200
March 12: How is your alignment?
Is it just me, or does just about every road in Massachusetts need to be repaved? Canon G1X, f 2.8, 1/200, ISO 100

March 10: Whatchya Eatin'?
Gary is always very interested in what's going on at the table. Very interested indeed. Canon 6D, f 4.0, 1/50, ISO 1600
March 9: Outside, Finally
While I didn't ride as well as I would have liked, nor as long as I would have liked, it was awesome to be outside and with other riders! This is Mark McGrade about to get his spin on. Canon G1X, f 5.0, 1/1600, ISO 200
March 8: Avett Brothers
Jean introduced me to the music of the Avett Brothers, and I've got to say, they put on a great show. They were a little harder and edgier in concert (which I like), than in their released music. Anyway, here's one of their song that you may have heard of: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEr9gMYdkHI&feature=kp Shot from waaay back, floor seats, TD Garden, with my trusty G1X, f 5.6, 1/20, ISO 12800
March 7: Waiting to Come Alive
Hopefully, soon, these branches will be covered in beautiful green leaves... soon... Canon 6D, f 10, 1/640, ISO 100
March 6: Cold, solid, H20
Hydrogen bonds made this possible (http://www.denniskalma.com/river/waterassolid.html). Canon 6D, f 4.0, 1/2000, ISO 100

March 2: Amphiprioninae
According to the experts at WikiPedia, Clownfish are omnivorous and can feed on undigested food from their host anemones, and the fecal matter from the clownfish provides nutrients to the sea anemone. Clownfish primarily feed on small zooplankton from the water column, such as copepods and tunicate larvae, with a small portion of their diet coming from algae, with the exception of Amphiprion perideraion, which primarily feeds on algae. They may also consume the tentacles of their host anemone. Canon G1X, F 2.8, 1/50, ISO 800.

February 27: Shadows and Textures
Snow, ice, asphalt, bright sun and shadows. A metaphor for life? Nah, just something seen on my morning walk with the dogs. Canon G1X, f 5.6, 1/160, ISO 100.
February 26: Selfie
My head is full of mucus. Canon G1X, f 2.8, 1/6, ISO 100 (camera resting on a small plastic container of salad dressing)
February 25: A Friend is Found
Luna was happy to find an old friend that had been buried in the snow. There was much rejoicing. Canon G1X, f 5.6, 1/1250, ISO 100

February 24: Working Steel
One of the best things about the house we bought a few years ago is the amazing basement... it included a bench grinder which I have definitely used! Here, I'm grinding a full-sized wrench to be a thin cone wrench for my freecoaster (if you don't know what that means, don't worry about it). Canon G1X, f 2.8, 1/5, ISO 100.

February 22: Footprints in the Sand
This is my interpretation of the Footprints in the Sand poem, without the sand. It's interpretive, deal with it. Canon 6D, f 4.0, 1/6, ISO 100.
February 21: My Happy Place
Everyone has a happy place... someplace they like to go physically or just mentally... someplace that allows you to clear your mind. For me, it's behind (or in front of, or straddling) these handlebars. This bike calms me, centers me, and allows me to think without really thinking. Some people have yoga, some people have mediation, I have flatland. Canon G1X, f 2.8, 1/40, ISO 400.
February 20: Enough II
Can't wait for the warmer weather and the melting! Just about a month until spring! Canon G1X, f 2.8, 1/250, ISO 400
February 19: Neighborhood Menace
He may look innocent, but he's (she?) a maniac, and his partner in crime (not in the photo) is a maniac too. Well, not that I've ever encountered either one on the streets, but their bark reverberates through the neighborhood. And they bark at EVERYTHING. My dogs go insane when we have to walk by their house. Gary gets scared and wants to run away, while Luna gets puffed up and wants to pee right in front of their house, in an act of defiance. Canon G1X, 1/1250, f 6.3, ISO 400

February 18: The Long Drive
Deciding to drive home from North Conway in the peak of a snow storm may have not been the smartest idea I've ever had. But, I've driven through all conditions, all over the US and in many other parts of the world. Slow, steady, and with caution is how I go, and the drive that normally takes 2.5hrs took about six hours. Oh well, a good audio-book and some patience got me through it. Check out this quick video to see what it was like... Canon G1X, f 9.0, 1/5 sec, ISO 12800

February 16: XC Skiers
Plenty of people out and about in Bradley Palmer State Park today... can't wait for this snow to be gone. Canon 6D, f 5.6, 1/3200, ISO 320
February 14: The Light
Not exactly a "Valentine" photo, but there's something romantic about the street light, right? Right? Canon G1X, f 9.0, 1/500, ISO 500
